How we started...
Rick and Jessica Bingman loaded up their three horses and five dogs (yes 5) and drove across the country to Owens Cross Roads, Alabama in January, 2019. After settling in to this wonderful community, they did find one thing a challenge: and that was boarding for their five fur babies. When the Bingmans first moved to Alabama dog boarding was just an idea to fulfill a need in the community. In January 2021, after extensive research and finding the perfect location, BING's boarding became a reality. We know what a big decision it is to leave your fur baby under someone's care and our mission to treat every dog like family drives all of our practices at BING's boarding.
The Bingmans are animal lovers, proud parents of three daughters, 'pawrents' of five dogs, and blessed to own three quarter horses. Jessica has a degree in Biology with a focus on animal science and has been involved with caring for dogs for over 30 years. She has worked with top dog trainers, rescues, caregivers, and veterinary staff over the course of this time to develop the necessary skills to provide a safe and dog-friendly environment to each dog guest. Rick is a mechanical engineer with extensive experience ranging from construction and mechanics to high level integration systems engineering. Rick’s engineering and mechanical skills are essential to developing and maintaining safe and secure facilities, as well as thermal, environmental and sanitary systems.
You are likely to meet our adopted fur babies at Bing's boarding.
