Policies

We take the responsibility of caring for your fur baby very seriously!  Our policies are in place to ensure safety and to provide the best care possible while your dog is in our care. Policies are subject to change without prior notice.

Vaccines

Your dog's health is important to us! For the safety and protection of all of our dog guests, the following vaccines are required:

  • Bordetella (Kennel Cough)

  • Parvo/Distemper

  • Rabies

Recommended but not required:

  • Leptospirosis

  • Canine Influenza

Puppies:

  • Puppies must receive ALL of their vaccinations prior to receiving any service at Bing's Boarding.  They must have had the entire series of vaccines.

We cannot take in ANY dogs that display any symptoms of illness such as: coughing, sneezing, nasal discharge, loss of appetite, vomiting, diarrhea, lethargy, fever, etc..

Evaluations
  • Evaluations for playgroups:  We evaluate dogs for playgroups during their stay. Dogs are assessed on their temperament to determine if placement in a playgroup is appropriate. We believe that dogs benefit from the socialization and training reinforcement that our supervised playgroups provide.  However, not every dog has the stability and temperament necessary. We always place the needs of the dog first, and would never put a dog in a situation that isn't safe or appropriate for that dog's needs, or other dogs in our care.  If a dog is not approved for playgroups, they still get the same amount of playtime, ,just one-on-one time with one of our Dog Care Specialists.

  • Evaluations for boarding: There are times that we ask a dog to come in for an evaluation prior to booking. We make every effort to discuss any potential concerns with our clients and we feel that sometimes an evaluation is helpful to determine if Bing’s Boarding is the best fit for your dog.  We ask for evaluations for dogs that have never boarded before, dogs that have high anxiety, or dogs over 60 lbs. We may also require an evaluation for large and/or strong breeds. Dogs that are kennel aggressive or extremely dog reactive may not be a good fit for our boarding facility.

  • We cannot take in ANY dog that has a bite history or shows any signs of human aggression.

Dog Playgroups

Dogs are placed in playgroups according to their needs such as size, temperament, and energy level. We do not leave our dog groups unsupervised and encourage good play behavior, reinforce training, as well as discourage undesired behaviors.  Our staff are trained to recognize stress signals, dog reactions, and to intervene and redirect before problems arise.  We work with each client to determine the best needs for your fur baby (rest periods, lunch feeding, etc.). Dogs are rotated between our inside and outside play areas, and although we do our best to keep everyone clean, your fur baby may come home with a blade of grass or two, or some doggie slobber from their new playmates. To us, this means your dog is enjoying playing and being active with their playgroup. We do offer grooming services on site if you wish to take advantage of that option.

Dog Aggression
  • We are not able to accept any dogs that display any human aggression or any bite history.

  • If your dog becomes aggressive during their stay, you will be asked to pick them up immediately.

  • We do accept dogs that do not do well in playgroups or with other dogs. It is not a problem for us to take dogs out alone and spend one-on-one time with them, and we do this often! We cannot accept dogs that are extremely kennel aggressive or highly dog reactive.

Fleas

We highly recommend that every dog be on a preventative flea regiment. Our facility is cleaned daily and our grounds are treated regularly.  If your dog has fleas, you will be notified immediately and they will be given a bath (price determined by needs) and a Capstar ($10 one time fast acting flea treatment) at the owner's expense in consideration of the other guests at Bing's Boarding.

Veterinary Care Required

If your dog requires immediate veterinary care, we will reach out to you and can make arrangements to visit your local, personal vet. If need be, Bing's Boarding will call our emergency vet. Your fur baby's health is our priority.  The dog owner will be responsible for any vet related expenses.

Personal Belongings

You can bring your fur baby's favorite blankie or toy to help them feel more comfortable while they are away from home.  You do not need to bring any items, as each boarding guest will have a fleece blanket, and raised bed (large kennels), as well as water and food bowls. All personal belongings will be kept in each dog's private boarding area, and not in the shared playroom.

Food
  • Please bring your dog's food for their stay. Having their regular food and keeping their eating schedule is important to maintain healthy digestion and reduces stress on dogs in boarding.

  • Please label the dog's food and provide feeding instructions. If you do need to purchase food during your visit, we can accommodate that.

  • We are able to keep dog food that requires refrigeration.

  • Please do not bring stainless steel bowls as they can get confused with our bowls. Slow feeder and/or specialized feeding bowls are OK.

  •  If your dogs are sharing a kennel, but require to be fed separately there will be a $5.00 per day additional charge.

  • If your dogs runs out of food during their stay, there is a $5.00 per day charge for Bing’s to provide food.

Medication and Supplements

If your dog requires medication or daily supplements, please bring all medication/supplements clearly labeled with instructions. You will also need to fill out a medication sheet.

Grooming
  • Your dog's health and wellbeing come first to us. If at any time, during a grooming session it is determined that to perform the grooming service would cause harm or undue stress to your dog or poses any danger to your dog or our staff, the service will not be performed, or we will discontinue the grooming service and you will be notified immediately.  â€‹

  • All services are completed at the discretion of the grooming staff. For example, a request to bathe a dog that has severely matted hair would not be completed because it could cause undue pain and harm to the dog, and in this case you would be notified immediately to discuss options.

  • "No shows" and last minute cancellations are subject to 50% of the grooming fee. Please see more about cancellations below.

Bathing and Grooming Services During Boarding
  • Bathing services are available for your dog while in boarding. Baths are offered at a discount of 15%. Many clients prefer to have their dog bathed right before they come home. You can select which bathing services you would like on the check-in form.

  • Full Grooming services may be available during your dog’s stay, but you must schedule this ahead of time, as we might not have availability.

Referral Credit

We value our return clients and greatly appreciate referrals. Bing's Boarding honors our loyal clients by giving you a $25 credit for referrals. You will be notified if you have received a referral credit. All referral credits will need to be redeemed within one year of issue date.
